- Increasing challenges facing the industry – bottle necks, environmental, cyber threats, cost, labour, policy issues
- Growing interest by members and overseas companies
- Current lack of attention and limited resources to consult
- Growing competition and regulatory issues restrict the exchange of information and requires independent intermediaries
Role of Supply Chain MSC
- To exchange knowledge and raise awareness about the industry
- To connect Singapore companies and SBG members with local players and industry experts
- To be a sounding board for policy related issues impacting industry
- Run seminars/conferences to share topics of interests and address issues
- To help grow membership base and provide additional revenue stream for SBG
