On May 22nd, SingCham Vietnam was proud to co-host the seminar “Smart Design, Bold Innovation” organized by BeluxCham Vietnam at Pullman Saigon Centre.
Our President, Mr. Tan Quee Peng, served as the Master of Ceremony for the insightful panel discussion. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the urgent need for smart design, sustainable practices, and bold innovation in the construction industry — highlighting that integrated, forward-thinking solutions are essential for the future of our built environments.
The event featured keynote presentations from four exceptional experts:
– Mr. Steven Petit (OMGEVING) – on blue-green urban design & flood risk management
– Mr. Steve Van Aelst (Van Aelst I Nguyen & Partners) – on tech-integrated architectural design
– Mr. Mathias Vandecasteele (boydens vietnam – part of Sweco) – on smart building-level sustainability
– Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai (Ney & Partners Vietnam) – on innovative structural design for bridges and buildings
