Our President, Mr. Tan Quee Peng, was recently featured in The Investor ahead of Vietnam’s 14th National Party Congress, where he assessed Vietnam’s achievements during 2021–2026 and shared his outlook for 2026–2031. Reflecting on the past term, Mr. Tan noted that “Vietnam’s achievements during the 2021–2026 period have been both resilient and transformative,” highlighting the country’s rapid post-pandemic recovery, macroeconomic stability, and continued attractiveness as a manufacturing and investment hub, supported by “continued inflows of high-quality FDI.”
Looking ahead, Mr. Tan emphasized that Vietnam is set to enter “a more sophisticated phase of development” with greater focus on “productivity, innovation, and sustainability”. He also underscored that “Vietnam’s next chapter presents significant opportunities for Singaporean and international businesses” as the country deepens its integration into global value chains.
