CHARTER PROPOSAL (By Mr. Teri Teo, former Chairman, proposed on August 18th, 2020)
MISSION:
▪ To unite Singapore food manufacturers to enter Vietnam for mutual benefit and growth.
▪ To enhance the cooperation between food manufacturers and supporting industries in the hope of greater economies of scale and bargaining power for the Vietnam market.
▪ To act as a bridge between the relevant government authorities in Singapore and Vietnam, so the food manufacturers as respond effectively to the government’s policies in helping to promote the development of the food industry.
▪ To act as the primary intermediary for local and foreign business matching and contacts.
ROLE:
▪ Bridge between Singapore and Vietnam for Food Industry collaboration
▪ Bridge between Singapore Food Manufacturer (SMF) – Food IG and Singapore Food Manufacturer Association (SFMA)
▪ Conduct food seminars, workshops, and conferences between Singapore and Vietnam collaboration
▪ Promote Tasty Food Singapore in Vietnam
▪ Provide timely information on food safety and regulation in Vietnam to SingaporeFood Industry
▪ Provide additional revenue for SingCham Vietnam through various food activities etc
▪ Represent the Singapore food industry in Vietnam to discuss government policy and support in the Vietnam market (especially on Food security for Singapore)

On 22nd May 2021, the Executive Committee of Singapore Chamber of Commerce Vietnam approved the formation of the F&B Members Sub-Committees (MSC), which is now become Sector Committee (SC).
The formation of the SC demonstrates our desire to strengthen the contributions to and by our members within industry groups and add value to SingCham Vietnam membership.
The Chairs of both SCs will work closely with the SingCham Vietnam Executive Committee in hosting activities and events that are related to their industry groups and reaching out to other Business Chambers/ Organizations in seeking potential partners.
