Sponsored by Sedona Suites and organized by the Singapore Business Group, the three-hour reception “Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew” last Saturday welcomed more than 60 Singaporeans. Despite the short preparation time, a special gallery “Life Moments of Lee Kuan Yew” and videos of his political and personal life were displayed and aired at the reception, together with a panel for guests to pen their condolences and tributes to the late Mentor Minister of Singapore. Her Excellency Ms Leow Siu Lin, Singapore Consul-General to Ho Chi Minh City, also graced the event and signed the board.

More than 200 Singaporeans and friends in Ho Chi Minh City were standing during these five hours together with Singaporeans in Singapore to watch the state funeral in a sombre atmosphere.
“Thank you for organising this,” said a Singaporean guest, “I’m glad that overseas Singaporeans have some where to gather and pay our last respects to Mr Lee.”
