THE ASCOTT VIETNAM DONATES VND 500 MILLION TO COVID-19 VACCINE FUND
In response to the call of the Vietnamese government, The Ascott International Management (Vietnam) donates VND 500 million to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund via the Vietnamese Fatherland Front (VFF).
Vietnam, 23 June 2021 – The Ascott International Management Vietnam – the management company of The Ascott Limited, a CapitaLand’s wholly-owned lodging business unit, in support of the government in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, has contributed VND 500 million to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund via the VFF. The fund is set for the purchasing of COVID-19 vaccines from abroad and for supporting the production of made-in-Vietnam vaccines towards fulfilling the target of inoculating 70 percent of Vietnam’s 98-million population, to help Vietnam quickly recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and soon stabilize the socio-economy.

Expressing gratitude to donors, Vice President of VFF, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dzung, said: “The 4th wave of COVID-19 has seriously impacted people’s wellbeing and the socio-economic situation in general. In the fight against the COVID-19, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee Communist Party of Vietnam set the goal to administer free vaccines to all people to achieve herd immunity, hence, launching the COVID-19 vaccine fund and call for national unity. Since then, the fund has received contributions from many individuals and organisations. We highly appreciate the timely and generous contributions of those responsible organisations, including The Ascott Vietnam.”
