Mr. Kim Andreasson, Managing Director of DAKA Advisory AB, a consultancy, was invited to share his expertise on the business opportunities and challenges of cyber security and e-government in the world, especially in Vietnam.
Cyber threats all over the world, Mr. Andreasson explained, are typically financially motivated such as cyber crime, intellectual property theft and fraud. Sometimes, however, it may also result from fun or retribution purposes, eg. from an angry employee who lost her/his job.
Despite the low dependency on the internet, Vietnam is still among the top five countries with highest number of cyber attacks due to the large number of mobile users. Mr. Andreasson concluded the talk with the brighter side of cyber security, “The lack of cyber security awareness all over world, however, bring various business opportunities across these five areas:Legal Measures, Technical and Procedural Measures, Organizational Structures, Capacity Building and International Cooperation.”
Adrien Ribette, at Place In Saigon, remarked about his first time at SBG Raffles Night, “This is not only a great opportunity for business networking but also an occasion to learn more about important topics that we are not aware of, especially directly from the experts!”
